Fluffy Love...easy WALL ART DIY

This is almost the simplest wall art ever except this!!  I used crepe paper (cut into approximate 4x4 squares) & small cocktail napkins (I just cut along the natural fold lines).  I was originally going to use tissue paper but couldn't find the colors I wanted at the price I wanted (like super cheap :)

Grab some
Crepe paper
Napkins
Glue
Foam board (from $Dollar Store)
Pencil

Sketch your design, I chose a heart this time but can't wait to try other fun shapes; and get to gluing your cut out squares.  You'll be done in no time!  Just grab some glue & a pencil from the kids school supplies and tuck your pencil - eraser side into your paper square for a quick easy application.

Umm, I did try double-sided tape, finished by nightfall come morning time practically all my little squares fell off! :(  So don't try that!! I don't know if it was because the crepe paper was too heavy or what but it was a big time bummer!!

Good ole Elmer's Glue is holding up, I think it turned out pretty good, actually I Love the way it turned out, I can't wait to make more fluffy paper art :)

Hey, speaking of love, I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it - if you would follow me on my blog & instagram :)

OMG OOWEY GOOEY...

PECAN BRITTLE

Need I say more???  I had this at a party and was on the hunt for the recipe.  I about fell over at the easiness of it! and the huge bonus... my teeth didn't break trying to eat it; but they may fall out from all the sugar I just ate :)

Ingredients
Enough graham crackers to fill a large cookie sheet
1 cup chopped nuts (I used pecans)
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup butter
(chocolate chips for over-the-top yum)

Directions

1 Line cookie sheet with aluminum foil & spray with cooking spray
2 Spread graham crackers on cookie sheet
3 Combine sugar & butter in pan
4 Bring to a boil
5 Stir in nuts and cook for 1-1/2 minutes
6  Spread bubbly goodness over crackers
7  Bake at 350 for 10 minutes
8 Let cool and break into pieces

After it was baked, I threw a few chocolate chips on for extra umph, WOW!!  I guess you can really go crazy and add all kinds of yumminess.

This recipe is definitely on my holiday yummy treat list!  How can you beat a 4 ingredient, quick & easy recipe?  Now I have to do a million situps haha (well...I'm not really).

My Mom also gave this recipe a big thumbs up and she would know about super deserts, this one is hers, check it out  Pineapple Spring Cake.

Zucchini Towers sooo Yummy!

I came up with this recipe on the fly when my neighbor dropped off a plethora of zucchini. Its basically like eggplant Parmesan but without Parmesan & I skipped the frying part.

What you'll need
zucchini
pasta sauce (your favorite kind)
Provolone cheese (I used slices & tore to fit rounds)
Panko bread crumbs
egg mixture (egg, water whipped)
seasonings (I used Italian blend & added it to egg mixture & breadcrumbs)

Just cut the zucchini into thin rounds, dip in egg mixture, then breadcrumbs and layer in a baking pan. (put a little sauce on bottom of pan, zucchini, sauce, cheese, sauce, zucchini etc.)
Bake at 425 for about 30-40 minutes or until tender, serve with crusty, warm bread and you are happily napping in no time :)

Kid,Parent & Friend approved!

GLAMMY CHOPSTICKS...

Well, I have to tell ya this was going to be a post about
SEAWEED SALAD... I just love love love seaweed salad, I could probably eat it every day. When we go to a Japanese restaurant I order it and the little amount they give me is never enough!

So when my friend, Kym took us to an Asian market I was in search for - seaweed.  I just had to make my own salad; I wasn't sure how to do it but I knew I was going to!  We all giggled looking for the seaweed; thankfully with the help of a couple of strangers I bought fresh as well as dried and gobbs of all kinds of crazy, unusual food treasures.

Nyla grabbing a snack haha

The RECIPE
is about as quick & easy as it can be!

BUT here's the dealio...this stuff expands like no tomorrow! I thought I would morph into a mermaid by the time I was through!  And I'm not sure if I bought the right seaweed  :(

I didn't care for the fresh kind that I bought. The noodles were too thick for me and the dry kind wasn't exactly like the salad type that I'm use to it was more the kind in the miso soup. But it tasted yummy, I was just use to the skinny,golden-green crunchy type.

I'm not sure if I'll be in a rush to make this again since the Japanese restaurant is 5 minutes away and the Asian market is an hour and half but I will be on the lookout and when I find it, I will conquer this salad!

ANYWAY...as I was eating my salad, I looked at my bland chopsticks and thought no way Jose' will these do.  So I grabbed some tape and glammed away and that's how my GLAM CHOPS were born :)  Even though my taste buds weren't completely satisfied, my happiness was because I tried it and my chopsticks make me smile; I hope the make you smile too :)
